Our direct mount hubs are used on the front spindles for karts without front brakes. They allow the racer to use hub mount style wheels, providing more front end tuning options. Simultaneously, the combination of a hub mount wheel and a direct mount hub weighs far less than a direct mount wheel, which has two significant effects. First, the decrease in rotational mass enables your kart to roll much more freely; and second, the kart requires much less physical effort to steer because the gyro effect of the front wheels is lessened when the system weighs less. Additionally, the racer has more control over front track width using a direct mount hub and hub mount wheel combo than is possible with direct mount wheels.
Machined from billet 6061-T6 aluminum, our direct mount hubs include our ultra free spinning bearings and our heat-treated wheel studs. Without a doubt, these are the finest direct mount hubs available. Our direct mount hubs are currently available for either 17mm or 25mm stub axles in three lengths: 1.75", 2.5", and 3.5". We recommend the 1.75" length for cadet karts, and 2.5" for most TaG or 100cc frames, and the 3.5" length for rain use. The hub fits all wheels with the standard European bolt pattern (we also offer a special hub with the CRG pattern). Sold individually.
